Our diversity

We live in a society where everyone is different. As a product of our own individual upbringing and experiences, its completely natural that we will all have differences in opinions on a wide range of issues. We all have different ethnicities, religions, cultures, family backgrounds, appearances, interests and ability. However, these differences should never be a cause for hostility. To live at peace with each other in this society with many differences, we should embrace the principle of coexistence and tolerance. Tolerance is the capacity to put up with or to accommodate ideas, beliefs, and behaviors that one do not agree with. We should accept the fact that we as people will never believe, pray or live the same. We should understand and respect our differences, acknowledge our similarities, broaden our horizons, embrace and enhance our cultural literacy. We should remember that peaceful coexistence is the most important project of our era and especially this electioneering period. But we cannot do it alone or in isolations; we must do it together. As the Bible say, try to live in peace with each other.
